Whispers from the Cross

Regular price €15.95

First published in 2011, Anne directs our attention to the value of contemplating the Crucified Christ. “Every follower of Jesus Christ will eventually find their way to the foot of the cross, where they will gaze at the Crucified One and engage in contemplation of those wounds which delivered salvation to humanity.” Some of the temptations we experience during our service to God are identified. Anne explores the importance of the vertical relationship with Christ. This book contains locutions from Jesus about suffering and the crucifixion. It also contains reflections on the Stations of the Cross, a reflection on single parenting, and the “Purity of the Church” visions where Anne was shown of the Church in various circumstances.

This book is organized into nine parts:

  • Locutions from Jesus
  • The Vertical Relationship/Unity
  • Chastity
  • Purity of the Church Visions
  • Betrayal
  • Temptation
  • Silence
  • Stations of the Cross
  • The Stripping

“We remember that sin first wounds the sinner and then moves with great determination out into the world to do additional damage. So we have the exquisite wounding of sin which stings the whole Body of Christ, having first stung the sinner. And then we have the polar opposite, the exquisite benediction of an act of goodness which blesses the whole Body of Christ, having first blessed the little saint-in-waiting. Through goodness comes healing for the person acting in goodness and for the whole of God’s creation… What we do counts!”- An excerpt from Temptations.
